What is Black Label:

La Loupe Vintage Black Label are items that define our brand style. These items ultimately delight our Target Market and are items we are really proud to have in our shop. 

Look at it this way, if you were invited to represent our shop at a highly curated vintage fair, and you could only bring 100 items total what items would you bring that best define La Loupe’s style?

Our company’s a main focus is on wearable youth culture fashion from the late 60’s to now. Fashions made for people between the ages of 18-25* from the late 60’s 70’s and early 80’s would claim a black label. Even if it’s in as-is condition. These true vintage items are harder to source so we brand them with a higher ticket price and add them to our ultra special Black Label Collection.


Black Label discounts and markdowns:

Due to the fact that Black Label items are often harder to source and sometimes we pay more to acquire them, we never offer more than a 20% discount off. Employees must get authorization to purchase Black Label as well.

Black Label does not get discounted during our regular markdown schedule. So these items have a longer lifespan on the sales floor. This helps protect our margins, as well as, we look pretty cool having a robust collection of true vintage.


* note: this age group is younger than our current target market due to major societal shifts. Our Target Market is 24-34. However, during the 60’s, 70’s and even early 80’s people ages 18-25 lifestyles are more comparable to that of a modern 24-34 year old.
